Shear Bliss History
One cannot tell the history of
Shear Bliss without telling of its creator, Lori Saleem. With a background in
organic gardening & the Culinary Arts from Cornell University, Lori chose to attend Santa
Barbara Cosmetology College while taking various courses in
Massage. After spending many years working in different salon environments, Lori
moved to Massachusetts planning her dream of hosting a non-toxic Salon which
could naturally beautify & service the “Whole Person”.
In 1989 Shear Bliss Holistic Salon & Spa was finally born in South Amherst! Many
clients over the years have enjoyed the variety of peaceful & upscale services
covering the whole body from head to toe! Shear Bliss’ current location provides
a cozy, private & wonderful experience for many in need of upgrading their
appearance. Many have enjoyed having a place to relax, unwind and leave
rejuvenated as well as looking fresh and updated. Lori’s belief in botanicals
for wellness and beauty continue to be the dominating paradigm at Shear Bliss
Holistic Salon.
The unique services provided at Shear Bliss are upscale and reflect the latest
fashion trends. “The less toxic the product the more naturally attractive the
client becomes.” Lori says. For example, haircutting for men, women & children
begin with a consultation, aromatherapy scalp & neck massage, botanical shampoo
& condition, the cut and a “how to” lesson. To ensure complete customer
satisfaction, any haircut service is given a week for the client to call for a
complimentary cut adjustment. All of the other varied services follow the same
personal, upscale botanical experience.
